Consent
Nothing happens without a parent saying yes.
✓No student takes part without written parental consent. Participation is always opt-in, never opt-out. We provide the consent form.
✓App access is a separate opt-in by the parent. Consenting to the classroom sessions does not automatically create an app account for a child.
The people in the room
Trained guides, and clear about what we are not.
✓Sessions are run by trained emeeqo facilitators who follow a child-protection code of conduct.
!Our mentors are trained guides, not therapists. We support everyday wellbeing. We do not offer treatment or crisis care — and we say that plainly to students, so no child mistakes us for something we are not.
Privacy of the child
A student’s private space is genuinely their own.
This is not a setting that can be switched off for a particular school. It is how the product is built, and it is the reason students tell the truth inside it.
✓Parents and teachers cannot read a student’s missions or reflections. Parents see only a gentle emotional-weather summary — how their child is doing in general — never the details.
✓The school view shows cohort patterns only. Never a named student’s content.
✓We do not share a child’s personal information, and we follow data-protection good practice throughout.
✓Content is age-appropriate and agreed with the school before we run anything.
→Topics such as the body and growing up are covered only with the school’s and parents’ agreement, and in line with your policy.
If a student is in distress
Our referral pathway.
▲Same day, to your designated safeguarding lead. If a facilitator has any concern about a child’s safety, we inform your school’s designated safeguarding lead or counsellor the same day — and the parents, as your school’s policy requires.
→We signpost professional help and, where needed, share helpline details with the family.

We work in line with POCSO awareness, your school’s child-protection policy, and data-protection norms. A named emeeqo safeguarding contact is provided for every school partnership — one person your designated lead can reach directly, without going through a support queue.
